Hi, I'm glad you could join us. My name is Colin and I'm the founder, owner and videographer of the North's premiere wedding video specialists - Video Viewpoint.
Together with my wife Susan we deal with the day-to-day running of the business that spans for over a decade.
We are both in our mid 30s so still young enough to relate to the excitement of getting married but old enough to be responsible and experienced individuals serving the wedding industry within the Highlands.
When very young I always had a keen interest in photography but when video cameras gradually appeared I would occasionally hire one at weekends to try it out. A fascination for video developed so I decided to expand my knowledge by obtaining formal training at a London based Production Company. Shortly after that, on 1st June 1993, Video Viewpoint was born.
We ran the business at a part time level for some time while we both held on to steady jobs. However once word got round about the quality of service provided to clients our diary soon began to fill up year upon year.

After attending further courses, workshops and seminars it was decided that because of the high demand for our wedding videos I would give up my current employment and concentrate on the video business. This then allowed us to expand out with the Caithness area where we are based, and we now cover the whole of the Scottish Highlands.
We became members of the Institute of Videography in the early 90s and are very proud indeed to currently be one of only four qualified members in the North of Scotland. Being a member of the Institute gives our clients peace of mind and keeps them safe in the knowledge that our work is constantly reviewed by a governing body ensuring high standards of work are achieved at all times.
The future looks bright at Video Viewpoint and now with DVDs added to our list of services it seems very likely we will continue well into the next decade and beyond.
