QUALIFICATIONS AND AWARDS

1989 - Recognising the need for a professional production company in the Highlands training for us was paramount. A course was attended dealing with video production technique.

1992 - As things progressed we decided to concentrate on wedding videos so we went to London and trained with a production company who awarded us a certificate from The London School Of Photography under Wedding Videofilm Making. In the following year Video Viewpoint was born.

1996 - One of our productions was commended at the prestigious Edinburgh Video Society Awards. Master Membership of the Institute of Videography was awarded after rigorous assessment from the governing body. I was now Colin Sinclair MMInst.V.

1997 - By this time Video Viewpoint was well established and it was decided to further our career by returning to London and training in Professional Videofilm Production where a certificate was awarded.

1998 - We were delighted to be awarded the Guild Of Professional Videographers cup for "BEST WEDDING VIDEO" The use of copyright free music was also recognised in this year when we won the contest for "Best Music to Video Combination" from AKM music productions.

1999 - Following on from our success in 1998 the Guild awarded us a Highly Commended award in the "BEST WEDDING VIDEO" section. Working with a committee of four members, a children's video was produced. "Helga's Orkney Holiday" was a winner at "SCREENTIME" the Scottish Screen Arts and Technology Festival. The same video was also Highly Commended at the Guild Awards.

2001 - As computer based editing began to take over we successfully completed a training course based in Preston covering all aspects of non-linear editing.

2002 - Following on from the course in 2001 we successfully completed training in DVD authoring and computer based video techniques.
